Console is a new unique application and is intended for people who install and administer VECTA. Console allows them to configure VECTA and at the same time monitor the state of the connected equipment. Therefore, the Console application includes the functionality of the Alarm Mode application.
Console allows administrators to configure VECTA server objects. This includes adding the following information to the VECTA database: how objects are connected, their parameters, and their modes of functioning. If you configure VECTA at run time, all of the configuration updates are automatically loaded to the connected equipment.
VECTA allows Configuration Objects search by their base settings: object type, object title, object alias, creation date and modification date. Therefore objects may be easily found by their creation date or last modification. Using name search helps to find all objects, which have definite subtitle.
One more interesting VECTA feature is the opportunity to print settings of any configuration object. This function allows making a quick printout (hardcopy) of configuration settings. There is a unique print pattern designed for each object type, which allows optimizing all object settings on a sheet of paper. Settings, having similar functional, are located in common blocks. Color highlighting of settings allows making illustrative printouts.
VECTA ACS application suite has opportunity to create Graphic Maps and place configuration objects on these maps. These maps are used for displaying status of Access Control system object to a duty operator.
That’s enough to drag objects from Explorer window to Map Editor window with a help of scroll mouse.
Alarm mode application in Map Viewer client module gives opportunity to monitor system operation and device control by means of created maps.
Checkpoints module is designed for receiving information about cardholder passes. When cardholder passes through reader, duty operator can see the following information on the monitor:
Therefore the situation, when card is used by different person (whom this card doesn’t belong), is under control.
Person Location module is designed for better and fast employee localization at the access control object area. For the better module configuration, supervised areas (for example, office N1, office N2, out-of-doors) are created and readers, which consider being input and output for each zone, are determined. Then one or more Person Location Monitors objects are created and adjusted to corresponding areas.
Cardholder list and areas, which are under supervision, are displayed as a table on the monitor. Cardholder location in one of the areas is indicated by special icon. Employees, who are out of areas displayed on the monitor, register in Unknown field.
