Alarm Mode

Alarm Mode is a specialized application for a duty operator. The main application functions are:

  • Displaying status of attached hardware
  • Displaying activities in the working area
  • Giving on-line control commands

Event Display

All the messages, received during system operation, are displayed in a Event List window. Each message has standard fields:

  • Event Type,
  • Date and Time of event appearance,
  • Date and Time of event registration,
  • Source object Name,
  • Source object.

Depending on message type, additional fields may appear. If the message contains a card number, shown by the reader, message also contains the card holder information. Unique field, named One-line message, allows displaying all the message information in one line of the Event List window.

VECTA Alarm Mode

Choosing up the fields for overview, comfortable interface for message view can be organized. Each message has its own priority and is displayed by different colors according to this priority. A wide filter variety allows selection of message types, which are viewed in a Event List window. Messages can be filtered by Source object.

The opportunity of several Event List windows creation allows to organize different view-modes. For example, two windows may be viewed: a window, displaying access control events, and window, displaying security-system events. Or create window displaying events from the most important objects.

Each event has detailed information displayed on a separate panel.

Map Viewer

System operation and hardware control monitoring can be produced by means of Graphic Maps displayed in a Map Viewer window.

  • Manual mode – map switching is controlled by operator
  • Circle Mode – maps switch one after another with the given time period
  • Priority Mode – window displays map with the maximum anxiety level

Any on-line control command may be produced at any object of the map by means of dynamic menu. In case of need, operator may launch On-line Control Panel, which allows generating commands, using one or more objects.

There is also opportunity to generate a list of last events, registered for any object.

Macros

Using automation subsystem, system-administrator can issue his own commands (macros) for object or group control. Operator takes decision about command execution.

Macros, specified by administrator, are represented as item of the shortcut menu named Automation in the main menu of Alarm Mode application. Depending on situation, operator chooses the right macro, and command is executed by system.

For example, certain situation needs all the system readers be switched to the open mode. In order to avoid the command “Open” execution at each of the readers, macro can be issued. The execution of this macro will make all readers switch to open mode. Thus a duty operator gets the opportunity for quick reaction to the situation and system control.

Explorer

Using Explorer module as a part of “Alarm Mode” application allows receiving information about present mode of hardware even without Graphic Maps. Objects, responsible for preferences and equipment control, have status icon. Status icon changes as the present object status requires.

Several objects may be selected in a Explorer window and on-line control commands may be issued without creating specialized macros. The opportunity of configuration object overview in different modes gives fast object search.
