User management

Easy permission assignment. If you have ever configured your network user rights, it will be easy for you to set the required rights in VECTA; the concept is the same. And a specialized tool allows viewing all the explicitly assigned rights.
Operator access restriction to various VECTA applications. Client applications subsystem allows to explicitly select the applications to be available for each operator.
Operator actions logging. The new audit subsystem allows to fine-tune the control of specific operator actions while working with the certain objects. This subsystem allows to reduce the database size and to save just the required events. And, of course, you can always generate a report on the events registered by the audit subsystem.
Data storage organization. If the storage of operators’ personal objects is required, you can use the special "Folder" type of objects. Using these objects you can build a folder structure of any complexity and create the "Home directories".
User interface customization. If you not only want to restrict the operators’ rights but also want to remove some features from their user interface, you can create an individual menu/toolbar set for each operator.

Event DB Clearing Service. You now don’t have to worry about database overgrowth. An automatic event deletion subsystem will automatically delete old events according to the specified conditions.
Image autocompression. You don’t have to bother with images pre-processing to optimize the database size. VECTA includes the automatic images compression system which comes in action when saving the cardholders information. It reduces the database size and optimizes its performance.
Capability of interaction with various database management systems. If you are already using MS SQL with the corporate software, you can also order a VECTA version with MS SQL 2005 support included.
Minimum database administration knowledge requirements. If you haven’t yet administered a database, VECTA with Interbase 2007 support is the simplest solution: the ready-to-use database is included with VECTA, all the required options are set during the installation, and the supplied .bat file can be used for a periodic backup.

Minimum maintenance requirements. Controller connection autorecovery allows to change the defective panels on the fly and to automatically restore the connection with the panels upon disconnection.
Access rights configuration in an environment with more than a few controllers. If you use a lot of controllers, the subsystem of Global Access Levels makes it easy to assign an access level for a specific card on all controllers simultaneously. In addition, you still have a full control over all the resources of a specific controller.

Powerful VECTA automation system is designed for developing of special VBScript subprograms which interact with other applications and also allows changing and managing of configuration objects. For example, the automation methods help to perform such tasks as automatic e_mail when an alarm event occurs, exporting data to third-party systems, implementing sophisticated data processing algorithms, etc.
