New version of VECTA ACS v5.1 was released

Lynx Technologies announced the release of VECTA ACS 5.1. The new version of software provides users with several significant features, including new innovative VECTA Security Management driver for more efficient cards and access permissions management.

VECTA Security Driver Manager

New Security Management driver

Revolutionary Security Management driver allows managing facilities with large numbers of cardholders and controllers more easily and more efficiently. Access control permissions assignment is implemented in IT-style and is very similar to permissions assignment in operating system. Now, each card or identifier can be included in unlimited number of Security Groups. Sophisticated Security Management Driver summarizes Security Groups for each card and calculates effective permissions for downloading to hardware.

New Security Management Driver has several advanced troubleshooting tools which allow to facilitate permissions configuring and help to verify if access control permissions are configured correctly. Besides, software provides administrator with rich tools for group operations which are absolutely necessary on big sites. Special wizards help to modify cardholders and permissions in most fast and efficient way.

New features of VertX (HID Global) hardware driver

VertX hardware configuring was significantly improved. New VertX Hardware Wizard automatically detects hardware connected to VertX Controller and facilitates configuring of VertX interface modules during installation. Due to new Security Management Driver, cards configuring was also improved: work with several card formats and many controllers became much more easy and simple.

New features of Apollo hardware driver

New version of VECTA ACS supports latest features released by Apollo Security in firmwares for main controllers AAN-100, AAN-32 and small controllers AIM-4SL, AIM-2SL, AIM-1SL. Extra 32 access levels per card were added to existing 6 access levels. Additional AL allow to configure access rights more flexible and to avoid resource-intensive precision access mode. To optimize card database size, user can select number of access levels to be used per card: 1, 6, 32 or 38.

Personnel monitoring

Several new modules and functions were designed to improve personnel monitoring. Special module "Work Area Monitor" is intended for people tracking in controlled area. The module is particularly efficient to check up whether all the personnel had leaved controlled area. The monitor works online and shows all people in controlled area. VECTA ACS allows to open several monitors for different areas simultaneously. Besides, now operator can generate reports which show people in antipassback zones or in work areas and execute such commands as "Search last events by cardholder" and "Search cardholder by card". All these functions facilitate personnel monitoring.
